Could have been Merl Saunders or Ron Stallings (sax and vocals). I really like the Reconstruction stuff I've listened to - Jerry isn't under any pressure to be the 'leader' of the band and his playing is very relaxed and fluid as a consequence.

By the way, anyone know why the Jerry Garcia site is offline?

I think it is offline because it is "owned" by a dissolved LLC:

DISCLAIMER: The information displayed here is current as of Nov 27, 2009 and is updated weekly. It is not a complete or certified record of the Limited Partnership or Limited Liability Company.

HOWEVER, what I understand to be the daughters' LLC, which are behind getting some of the recent Pure Jerry stuff out there, is up and going:

LP/LLC
JERRY GARCIA FAMILY LLC

Public records, so telling no tales....

HOWEVER, if you click on link for the Family LLC as sponsor of Jerry Day, it takes you to the down site. Mysterioso!

But Dead.net says it is the girls and that is what Mr. Scully told me as well:

Time marches on
Time stands still
Time on my hands
Time to kill
Blood on my hands
And my hands in the till
Down at the 7-11
Gentle rain
Falls on me
All life folds back
Into the sea
We contemplate eternity
Beneath´╗┐ the vast indifference of heaven

My favourite Warren song.

Thanks - strange that it's kind of hard to find info on this band. They don't even have a wikipedia page!

No idea why the Jerry site is down. I haven't checked it in a long, long time. Maybe good news? If the daughters were able to wrest control of the Jerry Vault from the Widder Koonz - which they did - wouldn't it be great if they also took over the website? It would be great if it were all in the hands of people who actually understand what it is ...
